Training in armed robbery prevention is an important consideration for any manager as almost all businesses have the potential to become victim of armed robbery. This workshop is for the benefit of staff involved in the handling of cash (or other targets such as jewelry and pharmaceuticals) and may be at risk of armed robbery.


Armed robbery can be devastating for both businesses AND staff. Preventing Armed Robbery occurring can be as simple as following a few basic steps and re thinking existing security systems, upgrading existing systems or starting from scratch.


This armed robbery course focuses on teaching staff how to prevent an Armed Robbery, and in the unlikely event of one occurring, how to respond effectively. If armed robbery occurs, it is essential that staff have appropriate training to maximise their chances of survival.

It is your responsibility as an employer to ensure staff members are equipped with the skills not only to perform their daily duties but to deal with any situation, including threats to the business. Employers have a legal duty of care to their workers.


The Australian Institute of Criminology states that 'staff training is a primary strategy for armed robbery prevention.' Our armed robbery training course looks at what to do if your business is held up and provides your staff with knowledge on what the safest course of action is. We discuss how to reduce the reward available to the offender, as well as systems that make it more difficult for the offender to commit the offence.
