No-one can predict when an emergency is going to take place. If you manage a business, imagine a series of possible scenarios and create a proactive response for each. Your plans and procedures will help staff in the event of an emergency. Emergency situations may arise due to a fire, explosion, chemical spill, medical emergency, natural disaster, bomb threat or violence.

Government regulations require building owners, managers and occupiers to provide their staff or occupants with education and training, so they are prepared to respond to emergencies promptly and safely. The impact of a crisis can be substantially reduced when people are trained to respond appropriately to it. This course provides students with the skills and knowledge required to assist with actions and activities performed in response to Work Health and Safety (WHS) incidents and accidents. The course applies to people who work in a broad range of WHS roles across all industries.
