How do assessments work?

How do assessments work?

Assessments for qualifications are competency based.

Students are assessed against the unit of competency (unit) requirements.

Students receive a 'Satisfactory (S)' or 'Not Yet Satisfactory (NYS)' result.

When a student receives a satisfactory result for all assessment tasks a 'competent' outcome will be awarded for that unit, and a certificate will be issued.

All courses will be assessed against the competency standards or the assessment criteria set out for that course against the industry regulations.

Qualifications or credentials cannot be purchased without assessment and payment for any course does not guarantee that the Participant will achieve the competencies required or receive the qualification or credential.
