Who is Easy HR?
RTO Information

Easy HR is a Registered Training Organsiation (RTO).

Our RTO Number is 91334.

This means we are able to deliver Nationally Recognised Qualifications and Training, and that our training meets the quality standards specified by the Australian Training Regualtor.

How long has Easy HR been around?

We formed in 2003, and became an RTO in 2007.

We have been around for:

Are your certificates Nationally Recognised?

Yes, as a Registered Training Organsiation (RTO) we are able to issue Nationally Recognised Qualifications.

As we have approval to provide training from SafeWork NSW and WorkSafe WA, not all of our training is provided through the RTO.

Courses that are nationally recognised will say so on the relevant course page, and have a course code.

Health and Safety Regulator Accrediations

Easy HR is approved to provide Workplace health and safety (WHS) training by:

* SafeWork NSW

* WorkSafe WA

Our Team

Easy HR is 100% Australian owned and operated.

We have a small handpicked team to ensure our training delivery meets the standards that you expect.

General Information

Assessments for qualifications are competency based. Students are assessed against the unit of competency (unit) requirements.

Students receive a 'Satisfactory (S)' or 'Not Yet Satisfactory (NYS)' result.

When a student receives a satisfactory result for all assessment tasks a 'competent' outcome will be awarded for that unit, and a certificate will be issued.

Course Deadlines

There are no deadlines to complete each individual units.

There is however an overall course completion deadline.

We allow 12 months to complete single Qualifications, and up to 2 years for Double Diplomas.

Extensions are possible, but you need to apply to your trainer and a fee may be payable.

If you do not complete your course within the scheduled time period, you will need to

pay the extension fee up to the date of your last assignment submission in order to receive a certificate.

We can arrange regular email reminders to keep you on track - please ask us after your enrolment.

If you have a serious reason for not meeting the deadline, you should apply to your trainer before the due date. It is your responsibility to ensure that your assignment is received by the due date.

The following tips will help in regard to assignments:

* Save regularly whilst you're working

* Backup-up your work regularly

* Ensure you have security software on your computer to check for viruses

* Keep a printed copy of all assignments submitted as well as an electronic version.

Should you wish to appeal the result of an assessment, you should complete a Student Assessment Appeal Application Form. The Form also provides details on the appeals process.

Assessment appeals must be lodged within 14 days of the original assessment date.

If you are not happy with your grade, you can complete the online assessment appeals form.

Will I pass

There is no guarantee with competency based training. It’s up to you.

We will provide you with quality learning material, coaching, contextualisation, support if you get stuck, BUT you must do the reading, take feedback, research the Internet and make a commitment to work consistently on your assessments.

With Diploma level courses, there is an expectation that you will manage your own study, and will use Google or other additional resources to support the reading materials provided.

You must be responsible for developing and maintaining good study habits. This is especially important if you are studying through distance learning.

This partnership is generally successful and the results are rewarding.

Assessment Processes

All courses will be assessed against the competency standards or the assessment criteria set out for that course against the industry regulations. Qualifications or credentials cannot be purchased and payment for any course does not guarantee that the Participant will achieve the competencies required or receive the qualification or credential.

What if I fail an assessment

Participants who do not pass an assessment or assignment on the first attempt will be given written feedback and offered an additional opportunity to resubmit.

Your trainer will discuss this with you, and you should be prepared to revise your work.

If you are not happy with your grade, you can complete the online assessment appeals form.

We may charge an additional fee if you fail the same assignment more than twice.

Plagiarism and Copying

Plagiarism is to pretend that ideas or language of other people are your own.

In your assignments, you imply that all of the ideas and language are your own, unless you explicitly indicate otherwise.

If you fail to make clear that sections of your work are not your own, then you are guilty of plagiarism.

Plagiarism is stealing, and is a very serious offence.

Plagiarism can take several forms. The most serious is simply quoting from a source (book or article) without acknowledging by quotation marks and a reference that it is actually from someone else. It is also possible to plagiarise by using a writer's unique ideas (ideas that belong to them and are not generally held) without indicating who expressed that idea - therefore leaving the false impression that the idea is your own.

Downloading information from the Internet without acknowledgement is also plagiarism, and can be detected using software that locates downloaded material easily.

You may not hand in work that has been done by another person.

Referencing an website, does not make it ok to copy the text from that website.

Remember, that the assessor needs to ensure you demonstrate understanding of the subject.

Copying answers from an 'assignment' website is considered Plagiarism, even if you reference these answers.

If we find you copying another person's work, we will ask you to show cause as to why you should not be removed from the course.

RPL and Direct Credit
What is RPL

RPL stands for 'Recognition of Prior Learning'.

RPL is an assessment process that lets people with substantial existing skills and knowledge demonstrate their competence without first having to be trained.

RPL is an assessment only pathway to the Qualification.

Easy HR recognises that some students may have existing qualifications or work experience within this field.

Easy HR supports the process of RPL for participants who have undertaken appropriate studies or work experience and who can provide evidence of competency

RPL is a great option if:

* You have worked in an industry for a period of time but do not hold a nationally recognised qualification;

* You are looking to progress your career or re-enter the workforce; or

* You would like to successfully transition from one career path to another.

There are many benefits in undertaking our RPL process:

* The assessment is focussed wholly on you and your skills and experiences.

* Your skills can be formally acknowledged with a nationally recognised qualification

* There are increased career opportunities due to holding a qualification

* There is no classroom study required

How Much does RPL cost?

If you require RPL, please contact us so that we can review your options.

We offer several RPL packages.

The cost is determined by how many units you wish to RPL and how we split the workload.

Direct Credit

If you have completed previous study that includes units in your Qualification, we may be able to automatically give you credit for those units.

You must provide us with a certified copy of the certificate containing those units.

Where evidence can be provided, we may be able to grant credit for some units of the course.

Is Direct Credit the same as RPL

No - these are different terms, although they are often confused.

Direct Credit is the term we use when you already hold a specific unit of competency. We can use your existing certifcate to give you credit towards your Qualification.

RPL is the term we use when you wish to use your work experience as an assessment only pathway to the qualification. You need to provides samples of work, references, etc in order to demonstrate competency through real life experience.

Why are we cheaper

Distance education means that we don't have to rent classrooms and we pass these savings onto our students.

We have priced our courses very competitively in order to make them as attractive as possible to potential students.

The quality of our service is not reflected by our competitive pricing!

Payment Plans

We do offer payment plans for some of our courses. Thids means you can pay by credit card, and split the payments over several consecutive months.

Yes, if your course fee is more than $600. There is an additional fee, which depends on the number of payments you wish to make.

No, as we ship the workbooks to you in a single package, these courses must be paid in full at the time of enrolment.

There are no payment plans for short or single unit courses.

You can make multiple payments for a face to face course, however the course must be paid in full prior to your attendance.

Refunds are not provided for students who change their mind, or who do not complete the course within the required time frame.

If you require an extension, please contact us before your course expiry date.

You can also purchase additional time if required.

Are there any hidden fees?
NO - the price you see is the price you pay.

For online students, there may however be additonal fees if we need to assess the same assignment more than twice, or if you wish to purchase an extension of time.

Entry Requirements
Face to Face Courses

There are generally no academic pre-requisites for face to face training.

Online and Workbooks

Some of our Certificate IV and Diploma courses have academic pre-requisites. This will be clearly stated on the course page.

Distance Education PC Requirements

Easy HR online training courses use internet and computer technologies to enable the delivery of material and issuing of qualifications.

If you choose to study this course online, you must

* have access to an internet enabled computer.

* be able to play flash files on your PC

* you may find it easier if you have access to a printer.

If you have a poor internet connection, we strongly suggest you order the printed workbooks.

Students will be expected to communicate with their trainer/assessor via email.

If this is not possible, students can book a phone meeting at a mutually convenient time.

Courses that cannot be completed due to not having access to the above mentioned requirements will not be entitled to a refund.

In the case of a technical error with customers hardware or software Easy HR will not be held responsible and full refunds will not be possible.

All online courses are tested on our own computers using Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Language and Literacy

The term 'language, literacy and numeracy' refers to five core skills; learning, reading, writing, oral communication and numeracy. These five core skills have been identified by the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) as the essential skills for individuals to hold to participate effectively in society including the workplace and the education sector.

Easy HR ensures that all documents are written in plain English, however we are aware that due to the nature of training, some course materials will use industry specific jargon or complex words. Training environments can often demand particular language, literacy and numeracy skills from participants. These may not necessarily be the same skills that are demanded in the workplace.

There is an expectation that students enrolling in a course have the language and literacy skills to undertake the course in a written format.

If a student is unsure whether they have the appropriate Language Literacy and Numeracy skills, they should contact Easy HR before they enrol in the course.

Overseas Students

Students who are located overseas can still enrol in ours courses.

Evidence of Identity

Some of our courses will require you to provide evidence of identiy. Acceptable documents will vary between courses, and will be clearly outlined on the relevant course page.

After 12 months the student forfeits the cost of the course, if it has not yet been completed, or an extension purchased.

Double Diplomas

We allow a maximum of 24 months to complete both Qualifications.

After 24 months the student forfeits the cost of the course, if it has not yet been completed, or an extension purchased.

** if a course is superceded during a student's enrolment, the student will be advised and will need to prioritise the completion of the superceded unit/s or qualification. We are normally provided with a 12 month teach out period for superceded qualifications and units.

We are normally provided with a 12 month teach out period for superceded qualifications and units, and students must copmplete their Qualification before this time. We are usually able to work with students to transfer them to the newer Qualification, provided that we continue to have the updated Qualification on scope. Where this occurs additonal fees may apply, and the student may need to complete addtional units.

What if I don't complete the course

We may take steps to cancel the enrolment of a student who has not completed the course within the required time frame.

Where a non-cancellation occurs, any fees already paid are not refundable.

If you feel you are falling behind, you may purchase an extension.

Reasonable Adjustment

Topic exists in ASSESSMENTS

All complaints and appeals must be dealt with in a constructive and timely manner.

Steps to follow in an assessment appeal:

For testing and assessments, if the participant appeals the results, the Assessor will immediately discuss the outcome to resolve the difference and reach agreement.

If agreement cannot be reached, the participant has the right to be assessed again by the same assessor, or requests that another assessor undertakes the assessment.

If agreement is still not reached, an appeals form must be completed. Then the participant and Director, or nominee, shall meet to discuss the assessment. Details of the meeting will be recorded in writing and the participant informed of the decision.

If agreement still cannot be reached, and the Participant wishes to make a formal appeal, then this appeal must be heard by an independent person or panel if resolution cannot be reached first

Steps to follow if clients or participants have a complaint with Easy HR

We are customer focused and want to use complaints as an opportunity to improve our services.

In the first instance, the complaint should be discussed with the relevant member of Easy HR staff or the Director. If not satisfied, a complaints form should be filled out and sent to the Director.

Details of any meetings with the complainant will be recorded in writing and the complainant informed.

If agreement still cannot be reached, and the complainant wishes to pursue the matter it can be taken to the Department of Fair Trading or the Training Complaints Hotline.
