The role of a Health and Safety Representative (HSR) is to represent the health and safety interests of workers in the workplace.
This includes identifying potential hazards and risks, communicating these concerns to management, and working with management to develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures.
The HSR also has the authority to stop work (if they have completed the HSR training course) if they believe it is necessary to protect the health and safety of workers.
Additionally, the HSR may investigate incidents and accidents.
